Welcome to The49Store. Before you place an order, it's worth knowing what you're agreeing to — so here's the rundown, written the way we'd actually explain it to someone, not the way a law firm would.
Simply put: if you're browsing this site or buying something from us, you're accepting what's below. And if any of it doesn't sit right with you, we'd genuinely rather you close the tab than agree to terms you're not happy with.
1. Who Can Use This Site
Eighteen and up, basically. That's the age we expect from anyone placing an order directly.
If you're younger, that's fine too — just make sure a parent or guardian is involved in the purchase. Using this site at all means you're telling us one of these applies to you.
2. No Account Required
An account is not required to place an order. Guest checkout is available. If you use a customer account, please keep your login details private and make sure your contact and delivery information is accurate.
What that really means is the details you type in at checkout are the only thing that matters. Get your name, address, and phone number right, and you're set.
Double-check your delivery details before confirming an order. If you notice an error, contact us promptly with your order number.
3. Products & Pricing
We try hard to get product photos, descriptions, and prices right, but a couple of caveats are worth mentioning.
Screens vary. A colour that looks a certain way on your phone might look a shade different on someone else's laptop — that's just physics, not us being sloppy.
Sometimes a price gets entered wrong. If that happens, we reserve the right to fix it before your order is confirmed rather than honour a typo.
Stock runs out too, occasionally faster than our listings catch up. And every so often, we'll cap how many of one item a single order can include — mostly to keep things fair when something's in short supply.
4. Orders & Payment
Placing an order means you're vouching for the accuracy of what you typed in — your contact info, your shipping address, all of it.
Payment happens before we do anything on our end. Right now that's handled through Razorpay, and no, we don't currently offer Cash on Delivery.
There are situations where we might cancel or turn down an order — say, something looks off from a fraud standpoint, a price was wrong, or the item simply isn't in stock anymore despite what the listing said. When that happens, we'll reach out and refund whatever you paid.
5. Shipping & Delivery
We ship anywhere across India at the moment.
We do our best to hit the delivery windows shown on the site, but "estimate" is the operative word there — not a promise carved in stone.
Couriers run into weather, traffic, and all sorts of things we have zero control over. Delays happen, and when they're on the courier's end, there's only so much we can do.
One thing that is on you: getting the address and phone number right at checkout. A delivery that fails because of a typo in the address isn't something we can take the blame for.
6. Returns & Refunds
There's a whole separate Return & Refund Policy page that covers this properly — worth a read if you're planning to send something back.
Generally speaking, though: if it's been used, damaged after arriving, or the packaging is missing, it probably won't qualify for a return. Refunds, when they do go through, land back on the same payment method you used originally, via Razorpay.
7. How We Expect You to Use the Site
A short list, and honestly just common sense:
- Don't break any laws while you're here
- Don't try anything fraudulent, especially around payments
- Don't upload malware or anything designed to mess with the site
- Don't poke at our security or try to disrupt how the site runs
- Don't pretend to be someone you're not
8. Ownership of Content
The logos, the product photos, the words on this page, the way the site is laid out, the code behind it — all of that belongs to The49Store, or to whoever we've licensed it from.
None of it is up for grabs. If you want to use any of it elsewhere, ask us first.
9. Links to Other Websites
Every so often you'll spot a link on our site pointing somewhere else — social media, mostly. Once you click through, you're on their turf, not ours, and what happens there is between you and them.
10. Limits on Our Liability
Within whatever limits the law allows, we're not on the hook for indirect losses — lost profits, lost data, delays caused by things outside our control, that sort of thing.
If we are found liable for something, the most we'd owe is capped at whatever you actually paid for that particular order.
11. Privacy
There's a separate Privacy Policy that spells out how we handle your personal information. It works alongside these Terms, not instead of them.
12. Changes to These Terms
Terms shift sometimes — we might tweak something as the store grows. Whenever we do, the date up top gets updated to match.
Keep using the site after a change goes live, and that's taken as you accepting the new version.
13. Governing Law
Indian law governs these Terms.
If a dispute ever needs to go to court, it'll be handled in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, subject to applicable law.
